How Patients are Effected by Tramadol?

When it comes to tramadol side effects, this medicine can have long term effects on people that use it. Tramadol is considered to be one of the most addictive drugs on the market, but it stills presents the least when it comes to physical effects on the body. One thing about tramadol is that it is known to cause constipation in patients. This can be due to impaction caused by bacteria that sits in a person’s digestive system for weeks. And if a laxative is used to treat the problem for a long time, serious problems can be caused in a person’s digestive system. Normally, a person will experience a bulge in their lower intestines that will probably affect them the rest of their life.

Most tramadol side effects are experienced when patients repeatedly continue to abuse the drug by taking more than recommended. People that become addicted to tramadol usually will become completely depended on the drug within a month. This drug can be highly addictive and is not advised by doctors to patients for an extended amount of time. Some patients that take tramadol have also been known to experience severe cases of rashes and acne. What makes the acne so severe is that tramadol will cause patients to have lesions throughout their body. Once the lesions heal, they will often leave scars on a person’s body. Experts have revealed patients who are addicted to tramadol tend to pick at the scars on their face like meth addicts.

Patients that have taken tramadol for a prolonged amount of time also tend to experience rashes on their feet, leading to a burning and itching sensation in their feet. Often patients find it very difficult to wear shoes because the burning and itching sensation is so severe. Because of this, everyday life such as walking and going to work can be very difficult. Patients that feel they have developed a rash due to tramadol should discontinue usage and seek a physician as soon as possible for treatment.

Tramadol side effects have also been known to affect the liver and heart of most patients that have taken this drug. While scars and constipation are serious side effects of tramadol, the heart and liver can lead to some very serious life threatening problems. The problem with the liver is that it can experience long term damage from excessive use of tramadol. Addiction to this drug can also affect a person’s family and can ruin relationships. When using tramadol, patients should always consider the side effects involved.
